This course covers the classroom portion of the operator safety training, along with a practical for Class 1, 4,5,7. The course provides the basic safety practices that are required to operate a counterbalance truck.

Intended for

Any employee that will be operating a counterbalance truck for an employer. It is required that a counterbalance truck be operated by a trained operator that fully understands and follows all their employer’s specific forklift training and workplace safety policies and procedures.

The information contained in the course materials is provided to assist the employer in complying with OSHA Rule 1910.178(l) for Powered Industrial Trucks.

Upon Completion

Upon successful completion of a written exam with a grade of 80%, and demonstration of practical application in pre-inspection and operation of the counterbalance truck (forklift). Proficiency in the operation of the counterbalance truck must be determined by the employer. Employer will be responsible to deem employee competent.

Please bring steel toe footwear to participate in the practical operation!

Students must be on time and present for all course content instruction. Students who miss any course content cannot be certified and registration fees will not be reimbursed, as per the Cancellation Policy
